A virtual studio built at Vantage Venues in autumn 2020, when most events had moved online: a set for presenters in the room, broadcasting to audiences on Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinar.
The set was a talk show. A low black stage carried two cream armchairs with side tables, framed by potted ficus and a full-height cream drape washed in light blue. A white Vantage Venues lectern with twin gooseneck microphones stood to one side, and a red countdown clock sat at the lip of the stage where presenters could see it.
Everything a presenter needed was in front of them. Confidence monitors on the floor showed the slides and speaker notes, a wedge carried the programme audio, and a large screen on a rolling stand showed the remote participants, with a camera mounted on top so that looking at the audience meant looking into the lens.
The control area sat behind black pipe and drape on the far side of the room: a mixing console, wireless microphone receivers, a row of laptops each labelled for its feed, and a switcher labelled for notes, Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinar. The screens in these photos show demonstration content: this is the studio being built and tested, rather than a client's show.
