IBX Gala 2019

IBX Services' 7th annual Client Appreciation Gala, back at The Eglinton Grand for a second year with a completely different look.

Where 2018 was gold, 2019 was red. Every wall of the ballroom was uplit red, the stage wall swirled with purple and magenta, and the IBX logo was projected large and centred on the proscenium. A sponsor mark — Unica Concept — was projected in gold onto the stage wall between white feathers. The tables moved to tall white feather centrepieces, with white fabric swags across the proscenium and a white fabric column rising into the ceiling.

The band played with every drum and cymbal miked, a full percussion rig and keys, on speakers at the stage sides, with the podium for the MC at stage left. The acts filled the dance floor between courses: an aerial hoop, a floor-acrobat duo, a lyra act on a small round riser, and a five-person dance crew. A camera operator followed the aerialists from the floor, and a pianist played the grand in the foyer.
